New Bern tops Conley 2-1 to improve to 9-0 in conference play

Greenville -- The New Bern Bears outscored D.H. Conley 2-0 in the second half of their soccer match to win 2-1 and stay unbeaten in conference play.

The Vikings dominated play in the first half and led 1-0 at the break on a goal by Jaxon Wiley. But the Bears answered with two second half goals. Eric Wilcutt scored on a rebound midway through the second half and then with under five minutes to play, the deciding goal comes on a penalty kick by Daniel Rust.

With the win, New Bern improves to 9-0 in conference play and picked up a second win this season over D.H. Conley.
