Greene Central names Jason Wilson new head football coach

SNOW HILL, N.C. (WITN) - Greene Central announced Jason (Jay) Wilson as its new head football coach Tuesday afternoon at Greene Central High School.

Wilson graduated from Princeton High School in 1996 and played college football at NC A&T from 1996-2000.

He began his career in Guilford County, coaching middle school football for six years. Then he was Kinston's head JV football coach for one season. Wilson moved to Johnston County and coached at North Johnston in a variety of positions (JV head coach, assistant defensive coordinator, DB coach, and WR coach) for seven years. He also was the men's track head coach at North Johnston for four years. More recently, Wilson spent three seasons at Greene Central as the JV head football coach and defensive coordinator, as well as one season as the men's track head coach. Wilson has spent the last two seasons at Greene Central as the Rams DB coach and last season as JV head coach.
