GOLDSBORO, NC -- Former Goldsboro High School star and current Seattle Seahawk Jarran Reed held his first youth football camp Saturday.
Over 150 kids showed up for the camp to get one-on-one instruction from the Seahawks' defensive tackle.
Reed said this camp was something he wanted to do since he got drafted out of Alabama and that it was important to him to come back to his hometown and give back.
"The main focus is making sure the kids learn the fundamentals of football," said Reed. "I have been planning this thing for a year and I know my community needs something positive for the kids to do. I thought it would be a good thing for the kids to do something positive during the day and learn the fundamentals of football."
