ECU Women’s Soccer Releases 2018 Schedule

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU soccer team will play nine matches in Greenville during the 2018 season, according to a release of its fall schedule Monday by first-year head coach Jason Hamilton.
The Pirates will take on a pair of regional opponents VCU (Aug. 7) and Gardner-Webb (Aug. 11) in a pair of exhibition matches before opening the regular season Aug. 17 at Old Dominion. The home opener is set for Aug. 19 against Radford in advance of a meeting with NC State in Raleigh Aug. 23.
The non-conference slate continues Aug. 26 with a home match versus Davidson. ECU then heads to Virginia for a pair of contests against Richmond (Aug. 30) and George Mason (Sept. 2). The Pirates will host Campbell (Sept. 6) and Charlotte (Sept. 9) before wrapping up non-league play at UNCW (Sept. 13).
During its American Athletic Conference schedule, ECU will travel to Tulsa (Sept. 20), Memphis (Sept. 23), UCF (Oct. 4) and USF (Oct. 7) while hosting Houston (Sept. 27), SMU (Sept. 30), Connecticut (Oct. 11), Temple (Oct. 14) and Cincinnati (Oct. 26).
The top six teams in the league standings will qualify for the AAC Women’s Soccer Championship, hosted by the conference regular season champion.
