GREENVILLE, N.C. (ECU) – The ECU track and field program will take away hardware from the Bill Carson Invitational for the fourth-straight year as the Pirate women ran away from the field to win the team title this weekend at the Bate Foundation Track and Field Facility.
The women amassed a total of 272.5 points, outpacing a Charlotte squad that compiled 178.5. The 49er men edged ECU on the men’s side by a 181-167 count.
In all, the Pirates won 14 events – seven on the track and seven in the field.

Sullivan broke her own school record in the Steeplechase, turning in a time of 10:12.62 that should put her in the top three in the American Athletic Conference heading into next weekend.
ECU will split the squad next weekend with one group heading to the Aggie Invitational in Greensboro while another will travel to Mount Olive for the Pickle Field Day Relays.
