ECU Injury Update: Gore discharged from hospital

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Junior cornerback Colby Gore had to be carted off on a stretcher late in the second quarter during the UNC/ECU game Saturday afternoon at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

But according to Hoist The Colours/247Sports reporter Stephen Igoe on Twitter: "Some good news: #ECU CB Colby Gore was discharged as expected last night from Vidant Medical Center after thorough testing. We're told his availability status for the Virginia Tech game will be announced Monday during the press conference."

Gore, who starts in the secondary for ECU, suffered helmet-to-helmet contact when UNC running back Antonio Williams offered an illegal shot to the head during a North Carolina passing play.
