Dave Jordan’s Candy Bar Cake


1 boxed cake mix – Devil’s Food or rich chocolate of some kind
1 ½ cup milk
3 eggs
¾ cup oil (vegetable)
1 small pkg vanilla instant pudding mix (1 oz.)
1 pkg cream cheese (8 oz.)
½ cup white sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tub Cool Whip (or any kind of 12 oz. frozen whipped topping), thawed
4 chocolate candy bars, chopped

Grease and flour two eight-inch pans.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, milk and pudding mix in a big bowl. Blend on low speed. Then beat on medium speed for three-four minutes.

Pour batter in pans and bake for 20-25 minutes or until done (until knife comes out clean). Let cool.

Beat cream cheese with both sugars until the mixture is smooth. Add in whipped topping and chopped candy bars. Spread the icing between the two cakes and then top and sides. I like to use Hershey bars, but you can use your favorite, as long as you can chop them up well.
