GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - Some talented kids will be tuning up their violin strings in preparation for two upcoming performances.
The Eastern Youth Orchestras is hosting two fall concerts on Sunday, November 17 at 3 p.m. and Monday, November 18 at 7 p.m.
The orchestra, which is a non-profit organization, was founded in 1970 by parents and teachers and has grown throughout the years. It’s currently made up of children and teenagers from around the community, with three ensembles, including a senior, junior and preparatory level orchestra based on skill level.
The fall concerts are being held at ECU Fletcher Hall. Both performances are free, but anyone wishing to make a donation to support youth arts may do so here.
After the fall concert, the orchestra will have a performance in the spring.
