Greenville woman killed in multi-vehicle crash

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A multi-car crash left one woman dead after police say she ran a red light.

Police say the accident happened at the intersection of Airport Road and North Memorial Drive in Greenville around 11 p.m. Saturday night.

According to police, Olivia Gay, 34 of Greenville, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Vibe traveling west on Airport Road from North Greene Street.

They say Gay ran a red light at the intersection toward Pitt -Greenville Airport, according to GPD.

Gay's car was in the path of a 1995 Ford Ranger heading north.

The driver, Treyvon Page, 24, of Grifton, had a green light and struck Gay's driver's side.

Gay was pronounced dead at the scene. Page suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.
