Wiggin Out For Charity fundraiser benefits Vidant Cancer Care
An upcoming fundraiser will benefit Vidant Cancer Care programs and patients.
The fourth annual Young Professionals of Pitt County Wiggin Out For Charity event is returning to Greenville on Thursday, November 14.
The fundraiser will feature a cocktail hour, food, live music and speakers, including employees at Vidant Cancer Care and a former patient.
All of the money from the event will go to the Vidant Health Foundation to benefit services for Vidant Cancer Care, which includes oncology outreach for pre-screenings and early detection services, diagnostic procedure costs for undeserved patients, patient resources and more.
The first-ever event was planned around Halloween so people wore wigs. They are no longer required, but are still encouraged at the event.
"We will have about 12 wigs on display so people can make donations towards wigs for people who can't afford it," said event co-chair Aileen Peacock.
The fundraiser runs from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. at Rock Springs Center.
Tickets are $40 per person, $75 per couple or $300 for one table of eight. You can purchase tickets
