Wayne County deputies make drug arrest during traffic stop

A traffic stop in Wayne County for speeding ended with a woman arrested and facing drug charges.

During the traffic stop, Corporal Steven Ash searched the driver before using his K9 officer to sniff out drugs.

Corporal Ash said he found a glass pipe in the driver Samantha Wilson’s front jacket pocket.

After finding the drug paraphernalia, Corporal Ash then searched the car and say he found 4 clear baggies of suspected Methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Wilson was transported to the magistrate’s office and charged. She was taken to the Wayne County Detention Center and placed under a $2,500 secured bond.
