Deputies find missing man in wrecked vehicle

A man reported missing last month in Wayne County has been found dead, an apparent victim of a car crash.

Xzavier Pearsall's body was discovered Thursday in his vehicle that had wrecked into a heavily wooded area on Stanley Chapel Church Road. Deputies say the vehicle wasn't visible from the roadway.

The 22-year-old man was reported missing on January 18th.

The SBI's Cellular Analysis Unit was able to provide deputies with an area to look for Pearsall and his vehicle.

Deputies say the missing person investigation is still ongoing pending autopsy results, while the Highway Patrol is looking into the crash of the man's vehicle.

\Deputies have upgraded a missing person case to an endangered missing person.

Xzavier Pearsall was last seen on Friday, January 17th.

They say since the 22-year-old hasn't been in contact with his family, missed his birthday, and has missed work without called they now consider him to be endangered.

He was driving a gold Cadillac with the North Carolina license plate HDD-4875 on Arrington Bridge Road and US 117 South around 9:30 p.m.

He is 6'0", about 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, a black belt with rhinestones and gray shoes.
