HAVELOCK, N.C. (WITN) - Some people in the east could be without water Thursday.
The City of Havelock is planning to interrupt services in Tucker Creek and MacDonald Downs neighborhoods.
People in the area will be without water from 8 p.m. Thursday- 5 a.m. Friday.
After that, a boil water advisory will be in effect for 24 hours. During that time, water from the faucet is safe for bathing, but should not be consumed unless boiled.
The outage is so crews can activate a new water line.
