LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - WITN's Teacher of the Week for November 7 is Michaela Mozingo from Pink Hill Elementary in Lenoir County.
Mozingo has been a teacher for two years at Pink Hill Elementary School. Today, November 7, is her three year anniversary of her marriage to her husband, Andrew. She grew up in Kinston.
“I become a teacher because of my love for children and my interest for their future,” Mozingo writes. My students make everyday ‘worth it’ for me.”
The person who nominated Mozingo wrote: “Mrs. Mozingo loves her students and often spends her own money on items to help them be better students. She spends much time on the weekends and at night making sure she has her lesson plans just right. Many of her colleagues admire her cheerful spirit. Her classroom reflects this as she has put her creative and artistic touches on it. Her reading corner would make anyone want to grab a book and read!!”
Congratulations Mrs. Mozingo!
Every week during the school year WITN will recognize a Teacher of the Week on WITN News at Sunrise. The winner receives a plaque and $100 Walmart gift card. To nominate your teacher, email TOTW@witn.com.
