GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) The President and CEO of Uptown Greenville has announced she's leaving her post to take a similar position in Fayetteville.
Bianca Shoneman has led the uptown organization for six years and will step down on August 19th.
Shoneman cites tremendous residential growth in the uptown area, along with increases in retail and office space.
She says working with city officials and business owners to improve the area has been a rewarding experience.
Shoneman says, "The biggest impact, the legacy that we leave behind over these last six years is that the perception has successfully tilted to the positive."
Shoneman says the Uptown Greenville board will meet this week to plan for her replacement.
