Craven County Schools staff received an early Christmas present from nonprofit Together Rising after teaching during the pandemic for nearly two years.
The company that has been found to be largely responsible for polluting the Cape Fear River with the forever chemical known as GenX has been quietly removed from the list of most responsible companies in the country following an outcry from folks across Southeastern N.C.
Health officials recommend 5,000 to 10,000 steps per day. In addition, an average of 150 minutes to 300 minutes of scheduled moderate-to-intense level exercise is recommended, or 75 to 100 minutes if it’s a more vigorous exercise.
The Department of Transportation plans to open lanes that have been closed on highways across the state from now until Tuesday, December 28 and then again from Friday, December 31- Tuesday, January 4.
