Wednesday marks the two month anniversary since Hurricane Florence made landfall and impacted much of Eastern Carolina, leaving thousands devastated.

The powerful storm caused severe flooding and wind damage for thousands of people across North Carolina. 41 deaths have been attributed to Hurricane Florence over the past 8 weeks in our state.

At the height of the storm, more than half a million people were without power and that lasted for days for some people.

Recovery is ongoing as businesses and homeowners try to rebuild their property or figure out what's next.

Towns like Pollocksville have streets that remain littered with storm debris that's still waiting for pickup. Other communities have signs of recovery as the sound of roofers echoes throughout neighborhoods.
