Two juveniles escape from Concord correctional facility

CONCORD, N.C. (WITN) Two juveniles have escaped from a correctional facility in our state.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety says Christopher H. and MIkal M. were last seen at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Sunday.

The two are said to have escaped from the Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center in Concord.

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice says due to the unpredictability of juvenile behavior during an escape, there is a high degree of concern for the safety of the juveniles and the public.

The division has notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the investigation.

Anyone who sees the juveniles are asked to contact local law enforcement officials.
