PITT COUNTY, NC (WITN) - Drivers passing through one Eastern Carolina county should expect some delays.
Part of Highway 264 is shutting down in Pitt County for the next month starting Monday, May 20.
Both lanes of Highway 264 West will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Crews will be replacing the slabs between the road and bridge at the interchange of 264 West as part of the southwest bypass project.
Drivers heading west should use Exit 73A and head towards Mozingo Road at Exit 71 before looping back toward Stantonsburg Road.
The road closure is expected to last one month.
In Ayden, N.C. 102 will be closed between N.C. 11 South and Pleasant Plain Road for the next two weeks as crews replace a pipe under the road.
Traffic will be detoured onto Pleasant Plain Road and Old Snowhill Road.
The closure will last through June 7.
