PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - According to Pitt County 911 communications, a call came in around 4:30 p.m. for an accident that happened on Highway 33 in Pitt County near the border with Chocowinity.
The road was closed for awhile as crews responded.
Seven people were injured in the accident and Eastern Pines EMS transported two people to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
EMS departments from Chocowinity and Washington also responded.
There is no word at this time on a cause.
