GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - One popular route to Vidant Medical Center will likely see traffic delays on Tuesday and Wednesday as portions of Arlington Blvd. are shut down for a railroad crossing replacement.
Greenville Public Works says the department has received numerous complaints about the condition of a railroad crossing on Arlington Blvd. between Stantonsburg Rd. and Dickinson Avenue. That crossing is being replaced this week but the work will require lane closures.
On Tuesday, the southbound lanes of Arlington will be closed between Stantonsburg Rd. and Dickinson Avenue. Traffic will be detoured onto Stantonsburg Road, W.H. Smith Boulevard, and Dickinson Avenue.
On Wednesday, the northbound lanes will be closed with traffic detoured onto Dickinson Avenue, West Street, Moye Boulevard, and Stantonsburg Road.
The city says businesses in the closed off area will be accessible during the work.
A map of the project and detours can be found here.
