Three teens arrested and charged in death of local business owner

Three teens were arrested in two counties over the weekend in connection with last week's shooting death of a local business owner.
Hertford county sheriff Dexter Hayes said that 18-year-old Franklin Jones, 19-year-old Bobby Askew and 19-year-old Nicholas Cooper were all taken into custody early Sunday morning. Jones was arrested at his Hertford county home while deputies arrested Askew in Murfreesboro and Cooper in Bertie county.
All three are facing felony murder charges and are being held without bond for the shooting death of 56-year-old Uday Manik of Conway. He owns the Sunoco in Aulander was found shot to death inside his car last Thursday night.
The suspects are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
