Three shot in Wayne County Christmas Eve home invasion

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Christmas Eve shooting that saw three people injured.
911 received a call around 11:37 p.m. Monday that three people entered a home at 107 Connies Walk in Dudley and began shooting. Interviews with people who were not injured say the people demanded money.
Investigators say the injured were Curtis Melvin, 37, Danny Melvin, 41, and Tristan Bass, 28. All three are from Dudley.
The three were taken to Wayne UNC Healthcare. The Melvins were eventually airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
The investigation is ongoing.
