Three arrested following Wednesday armed robbery in Greenville
Police say they were able to catch up with three people accused of robbing a local business.
Greenville Police say just before 8 p.m. officers responded to Metro PCS at 146 Greenville Boulevard for a report of an armed robbery.
The store clerk told officers that several males entered the store, with one of them showing a gun and demanding money.
Police say the men left with an undisclosed amount of cash and several cell phones.
A short time later, police say that officers spotted a vehicle in the area of Greenville Boulevard and 14th Street matching that used by the robbers. A short chase led to 10th Street near the area of Verdant Drive.
Inside, police say they found the stolen property from the business.
Police say that Zikeal Chance, 23, and Monterius Clark, 23, both of Greenville, as well as Tzyire Cantey, 19, of Kinston, were all arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
They are being held at the Pitt County Detention Center.
Additional arrests are pending.
