Survey ranks Greenville among top 10 best college towns in country

An Eastern Carolina city has been ranked among the 10 best college towns in the country.

Livability.com, which ranks the most livable small and mid-sized cities across the country, released its 2019 10 Best College Towns.

Greenville, which is home to ECU, came in at ninth place.

The rankings are focused on quality of life, local economy and diversity.

"From job opportunities to weekend activities to beloved campus traditions, these are places that offer something special for residents at every stage of life, where students can settle down and build a life after graduation, and alumni from all over the world keep coming back," said Livability.com Editor-in-Chief Winona Dimeo-Ediger.

Ithaca, New York came in at number one followed by Manhattan, Kansas at number two.
