(WFLA) -- During the last home game of the season, the River Ridge Middle School Royal Knights had a special player score a special touchdown.

Gavin Lambert, 13, has Freidreich’s Ataxia, a neuromuscular disease that affects his movements and speech.
His friends, Hennessy and Noah St. Aubin came up with a plan: have Gavin run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
With a little help from his friends, he brought the ball into the end zone, as parents, students and staff cheered him on.
