Skills center set to open in Jacksonville
Some students in the east will soon have more options for job training.
The Eastern North Carolina Regional Skills Center is opening in Jacksonville Monday.
The center will provide advanced training for students working on career and technical education programs at Lejeune High School and at other high schools in Onslow, Duplin and Jones Counties.
It will serve at least 10 high schools.
The center is set to open at 1:30 p.m. The state Superintendent of Public Schools Mark Johnson is scheduled to be there.
It's located at 261 NW Corridor Boulevard.
