Six residents displaced after fire at Greenville apartment

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) Six occupants have been displaced after a fire occurred Sunday evening at a Greenville apartment complex.

Greenville Fire and Rescue says a call came in around 5:15 p.m. for a fire at 100 Kristin Drive.

The fire was quickly contained, and ruled accidental. Officials say the fire began in the kitchen.

Five residents have been displaced from the apartment at which the fire occurred. A sixth resident in a neighboring unit has been displaced due to water damage.

Officials say the Red Cross is helping those displaced residents.

No injuries were reported.
