Missing Winterville teenager found safe in Virginia

An Eastern Carolina teenager who was the subject of a statewide alert has been found in another state.

The Silver Alert for Haley Petersoli, of Winterville, was issued on Tuesday.

The 15-year-old is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Petersoli was found safe in Richmond, Virginia last night around 8:00 p.m., according to Winterville police.

Police say she has been returned home and is now in the custody of the Department of Social Services.

She was last seen at a duplex on Forbes Avenue in Winterville.

Petersoli is 5'1" tall, weighs 155 pounds, has medium-length red hair and hazel eyes.

The girl was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white Nike shoes.

Anyone who has seen Petersoli should call the Winterville Police Department at 252-830-4141.
