Second meeting for proposal of Town Common liquor sales

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - One city here in the east is still seeking public input as it considers a more open alcohol sales policy for one of it's largest public parks.

The city of Greenville is hosting the second of two public meetings tonight to get feedback on the proposal.

Right now, malt beverages and wine can be served or sold at Town Common events with the proper permits.

The city is considering a proposal to also allow liquor or fortified wine sales.

Tonight's meeting will start at 6 p.m. in the third-floor gallery of City Hall on West 5th Street.
