Rocky Mount police investigating Sunday evening shooting

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) - The Rocky Mount Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that killed a man Sunday evening less than 24 hours after a double homicide, according to a press release.

Officers responded to a shot spotter activation call around 4:40 p.m. along the 200 block of Union Street.

Once on scene, police found a man had been shot dead, according to officials.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
