Rocket launch to International Space Station

WALLOPS ISLAND, VA (WITN)- NASA’s commercial partner Northrop Grumman launched its Antares rocket carrying its Cygnus cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station at about 4:46 p.m. Wednesday.

The cargo consists of 7,600 pounds of crew supplies, hardware and research.

One of the astronauts on the ISS is Jacksonville native Christina Koch. She is schedule to be on the ISS until February of next year, which will make her set a record for longest spaceflight for a woman.
