EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A man accused of robbing a college student during an illicit exchange is behind bars while another person is still on the run.
Police say Erick Speight of Ahoskie and another person met up with a college student Wednesday morning at the River Oaks Shopping Center when they showed a handgun and demanded money.
Police say the two took off with cash and the victim's iPhone.
Police were able to track the iPhone and locate Speight in Ahoskie.
The second person has not been found.
Speight is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and is being held at the Edgecombe County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond.
