A third Eastern Carolina county has reported a rabid animal this week.

Pamlico County Animal Control says a raccoon was found Monday on Moores Swamp Road in Reelsboro.

Tests came back from the state showing that animal had rabies.

On Sunday, a rabid fox was found in Morehead, while Nash County reported last night that another rabid fox attacked two people in Nashville.
