Public safety training facility opens at Martin Community College
Martin Community College officially opened a new facility to help train members of public safety.
People gathered Thursday for a ribbon cutting for the new Public Safety Training Facility at Martin Community College.
The facility will be used mainly to train members of fire services and related fields, but police will also be able to train there.
MCC President Ken Bohan says the new building will enhance training opportunities in the area and he hopes the facility will be used every day.
The facility was built with money from the NC Connect Bond approved by voters.
