Powerball drawing produces two winning tickets in North Carolina
Saturday night's Powerball drawing produced two winning tickets in North Carolina.
A ticket earning a $1 million prize for one lucky winner was purchased at the Circkle K convenience store on South Croatan Highway in Kill Devil Hills.
The $2 ticket matched the numbers on the five white balls, beating odds of 1 in 11.6 million.
The drawing also produced a $50,000 winner in the state with a ticket that matched four of the numbers on the white balls, plus the Powerball number.
That ticket was purchased through the online play feature of the lottery's website.
The two winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize.
A lucky ticket sold in Tennessee won Saturday's jackpot of $198 million. The Wednesday jackpot will now reset to $40 million.
