Update: Same suspect may have robbed two Dollar General stores

EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Police in Pinetops have released a picture of a possible suspect vehicle in a robbery there and say the same person may have robbed two stores.

Pinetops Police say the man showed a gun and demanded money from the Dollar General store clerk at around 10:45 p.m. Thursday. There's no word on how much money was stolen, but police say he ran toward Sixth Street from the store, which is on E. Hamlet Street.

Police in nearby Sharpsburg say the same suspect robbed the Dollar General there. That robbery happened around 9:13 p.m.

It is alleged that the suspect is working with a driver and that they drove from Sharpsburg to Pinetops.

The gunman is a small, skinny black male with short hair and possibly dreadlocks, according to Pinetops Police.
