Police looking for Jacksonville suspected bank robber

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Police in one Eastern Carolina city are looking for a suspected bank robber.

Jacksonville police say the First Citizens Bank on Western Boulevard was held up around 4:00 p.m. Thursday.

A man wearing a surgical mask walked into the bank and handed a note to a teller. No one was hurt in the robbery.

The gunman is described as being over six feet tall and wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, a white hospital/medical mask and gray ball cap with the “H” Hurley insignia.
