Player of the Week: Elana Fuller

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – D.H. Conley volleyball and basketball standout Elana Fuller is our newest WITN Pepsi Player of the Week!

Entering Tuesday, the Vikings are a perfect 19-0 thanks in large part to the efforts of their talented senior middle blocker.

"[Fuller] brings a lot of enthusiasm to the court," said D.H. Conley girls volleyball head coach Jennifer Gillikin. "Not only through her play but just her energy and her excitement, and she can fly. She gets up there high and can put that ball right down in the holes."

Fuller is averaging more than seven kills and four blocks per game.

"Offensively, being able to attack away from their middle so that I won't have a blocker, so then I can hit to the floor on their side," said Fuller. "And then defensively, being able to move along the net quicker has really helped. Being able to get to the block faster."

The Vikings play at Southern Wayne on Tuesday night before wrapping up their regular season at home against Eastern Wayne on Wednesday night.

The Vikings defeated Southern Wayne in straight sets to improve to 20-0 overall and 11-0 in conference.
