Player of the Week: Aaron Pasour
Ayden-Grifton football and baseball standout Aaron Pasour is our newest WITN Pepsi Player of the Week!
The Ayden-Grifton baseball season may have ended in heart-breaking walk-off fashion at Washington in the state playoffs last Friday, but we still wanted to highlight one Charger who exemplifies what it means to be a great teammate and strong leader. His name is Aaron Pasour.
"He's not only been a leader for us, but I'd also characterize Aaron as a school leader," Ayden-Grifton varsity baseball head coach Corey Skinner said.
Whether on the football field, baseball diamond or in the classroom, Aaron Pasour brings out the best in those around him.
"I really try to do the best of my ability everything I do," said Pasour. "Try to encourage my teammates to do the best they can do every time we step on and off the field."
"He's just has a lot of leadership qualities and people are drawn to him," Skinner added.
A diligent and dedicated student-athlete, Aaron relies on faith and family to achieve success.
"My main motto is faith over fear," added Pasour. "It all comes down to being a team and a family. If you don't have a family, you can't play well together, so you have to find a way to work together with each other."
"He picks a goal sees the goal, and he's going do whatever it takes to accomplish that," Skinner explained.
Upon high school graduation, Aaron will be attending ECU, where he plans on studying biomedical engineering, while also trying to walk on to the football team.
