GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - This week's Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is Molly.
Molly is estimated to be about five years old and possibly a Shibu Inu mix.
She came to the humane society pregnant and went straight into a foster home to raise her puppies. She gave birth to a large litter and they all were quickly adopted. Now, Molly is looking for a loving home.
Volunteers with the humane society say Molly is calm and can be shy, but extremely lovable. She excelled in her foster home and does well on a leash, in a car, with kids and other dogs.
The adoption center is open from 1 pm-5 pm on Thursday's and Friday's and from 9 am-12 pm on Saturday's.
Beyond adoption, there are other ways you can give back the humane society.
The humane society is also hosting a fundraising effort on Wednesday, July 24 from 5:30 pm-10:30 pm at Dickinson Avenue Public House in Uptown Greenville. Supporters are invited to have dinner and support the humane society and its animals.
The humane society is also looking for special donations. Volunteers say they are running low on paté food for dogs and cats. They say dogs also go through their toys at lightning speed, so any toy donations to keep the pups happy and entertained are welcome.
