Pet of the Week: Addie

GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - This week's Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is adorable Addie!

Addie is petite scruffy terrier mix who is about 3 years old, so she is done growing. She is new to the humane society, but has already captured volunteers hearts.

Volunteers say she would do great being a lap dog or an adventure partner because she is playful, yet calm.

The humane society is preparing for the upcoming Canine Crawl on Sunday, October 20 from 1- 5pm at the Greenville Town Commons.

The free event will celebrate our furry friends and feature live music, food trucks, vendors, adoptable dogs, a dog costume contest and much more.

There will also be a 1-mile fun walk, which costs $30 and includes a 2019 Canine Crawl t-shirt. Anyone who wants to participate can create a profile here and raise money for their walk to be donated to the humane society.

WITN's Liz Bateson and Jim Howard will be the emcee's for the event.

The adoption center is open from 1 pm-5 pm on Thursday's and Friday's and from 9 am-12 pm on Saturday's.

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina brings adoptable animals every Wednesday at 6:25 a.m. on WITN News at Sunrise.
