PAMLICO COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - An Eastern Carolina school district is cutting back on hours this summer to save electricity.

The superintendent of Pamlico County Schools says they will be switching to a four-day work week starting June 17 to conserve energy.

People in the district who need to get in contact with a schools central office can do so from 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday until August 16.

Operating hours will return to normal the following week.
