GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - This week's Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is Wiley, a 3-year-old husky mix.
Wiley is a smart, adventurous boy who still thinks he's lap dog but would do best in a home where he is the only pet and can have all of the attention.
Don't forget that Humane Society volunteers are still wrapping Christmas presents at the Greenville Mall every day until Christmas Eve as a fundraiser. All donations will go right back into caring for animals just like Wiley!
The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is also doing a brand new 'delivery' program this Christmas for newly adopted animals.
Pets adopted before Christmas Eve are eligible to be dropped off at their new homes for a fee of $75. Each "Christmas Eve" adoption will come with a holiday collar, customized name tag, and a stocking filled with treats and toys!
Please remember that all adoptions must be approved by HSEC staff members. We do not allow "gift" adoptions unless the main caretaker is the legal adopter. Some restrictions do apply, including delivery that must be within a predetermined radius of HSEC.
If you'd like to meet Wiley, the adoption center is open Friday - Sunday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. You can also visit the society's website, www.hsecarolina.org.
The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina brings adoptable animals every Wednesday at 6:25 a.m. on WITN News at Sunrise.
