LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A deadly crash remains under investigation by state troopers in Lenoir County.

The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Sunday on the Grifton Hugo Road, about two miles east of Hugo.
Killed was 35-year-old Narciso Villanueva, of La Grange. Troopers say he was driving a car that collided with a pickup truck.
The driver of that truck, 56-year-old Linwood Suggs, also from La Grange, was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters.
Suggs was taken to Vidant Medical Center where the hospital late Monday afternoon said he was in fair condition.
There's no word yet on what caused the crash or if any charges will be filed.
One person was killed and another was seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash pinned a driver inside their vehicle, officials said.
First responders were called out to the wreck along Grifton Hugo Road in Lenoir County around 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Hugo Volunteer Fire and Rescue Chief Johnny Craft said.
The crash involved a pick-up truck and a car and happened just two miles east of Hugo.
The driver of the car was killed. The driver of the pick-up truck was pinned inside his vehicle and had to be pulled out by firefighters, Craft said.
The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to Vidant Medical Center with serious injuries.
The Sand Hill Volunteer Fire Department assisted in the rescue.
North Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating the crash.
Crews responded to a fatal accident in Lenoir County Sunday night, Hugo Volunteer Fire Chief Johnny Craft said.
The wreck happened on Grifton Hugo Road, Craft said.
