RALEIGH, NC (WITN) - Nine more people died from the flu last week in North Carolina.
The Department of Health & Human Services says that brings the number of flu deaths to 135 for the season.
The week before, 11 deaths were reported, and 21 two weeks ago.
DHHS says flu-like illnesses across the state continues to drop, down for the third week in a row.
Last season there were nearly 400 deaths in the state from the flu, a record.
