One county here in the east is nearing completion on a massive school campus that will soon house three schools in one building.

Monday we had the chance to take a look inside of the school and the design that makes it so unique.

The Jones County School District will soon be combining Jones Elementary, Middle, and High School on one huge campus.

The building is being designed with an open concept, meaning there are hundreds of windows throughout the school to allow for more natural light to fill the spaces. Classrooms at each level also have windows leading to a collaborative space that will allow students to work on projects and use new technology.

Jones County School District Superintendent Michael Bracy says, "Open collaboration spaces, doing a lot of learning opportunities different than in the past in a traditional school so we're excited about that, the really neat piece is that we've been training all along so our teachers have already been trained."

The school is also being leased from the contractors for $14 million over the next 40 years. They designed the campus to also be energy positive which means the solar panels on the roof will produce more energy than the school consumes.

Construction is still on track to be complete and ready for students before the start of the next school year.
