NEW INFO: New Bern shooting victim identified

NEW BERN, NC (WITN) - Police have identified a man who was critically shot Tuesday afternoon in New Bern.

Charles Taylor, 23, of Bridgeton, is now in stable condition at Vidant Medical Center.

Taylor was shot just before 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Eubanks and Main streets.

He was airlifted to Vidant after initially being treated at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Police have yet to release any information on a suspect or a possible motive in the shooting.
