The body of a woman missing since last month from Wilmington was found this weekend in Beaufort County.

Deborah Lynn Blades, 61, was last seen on July 29th driving a white Chevy Equinox and at the time police said the woman could have been experiencing a confused or altered mental state.

Beaufort County deputies say they got a call Sunday morning from a resident of Swindell Road in Pantego about a suspicious vehicle parked off Wonderland Road. They discovered it was the vehicle Blades was last seen driving and deputies began a search of the area.

After a six hour search involving multiple agencies, the woman's body was found about 400 feet from her vehicle, according to deputies.

The sheriff's office says based on what was found at the scene, there is no reason to suspect foul play, though the cause of the woman's death is unknown.

The Pitt County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy on the woman's body.
