NAGS HEAD, N.C. (WITN) - A volunteer service that delivers food to home-bound senior citizens is expanding in the east.
Meals on Wheels will now be offered in Nags Head. The program provides residents over the age of 60 with meals in their homes or at group sites.
Volunteers are needed to help pack the food and deliver meals at least once a month Monday through Friday. It typically takes one hour to deliver meals.
Organizers say they are also looking for people who need the service so they can begin creating a Meals on Wheels route throughout the town.
